Let us consider the design and build of Xiaomi Redmi 10X for a start. The phone looks everything like Redmi Note 9 Series smartphones which feature Note 9S and Note 9 Pro. They all speak the same design language. The build quality is the same with that extra touch of Splash proof and Dual SIM (Nano-SIM, dual stand-by). Xiaomi Redmi 10X measures 162.3 x 77.2 x 8.9 mm and weighs about 199 grams which can be classified as relatively heavy. Nevertheless, we are talking about a phone with curved 3D back to which improves its grip whilst in the hand.
On the back panel of this phone are a square-shaped camera module and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner just beneath it. That power button and the volume rocker are on the same side of the phone. You will also notice a 2.0, Type-C 1.0 reversible connector at the bottom of Redmi 10X 4G. Facing you is its hole punch wherein the selfie camera is.
The Xiaomi Redmi 10X 4G is the first smartphone to have a MediaTek Helio G85 chipset (12nm). A mid-range SoC for high-performance mobile gaming. It also has an Octa-core (2×2.0 GHz Cortex-A75 & 6×1.8 GHz Cortex-A55) CPU and a Mali-G52 MC2 GPU. I think those who do much mobile gaming will be well pleased with the Redmi 10X. It is one phone that was made with mobile gamers in mind. Powering the phone is of course Android 10 with MIUI 11. Wonder if it will be updated to MIUI 12 given the same is already out as you will soon find out when you visit this link.
As for internal storage, Xiaomi Redmi 10X 4G offers 128 GB for both the 4GB RAM and 6GB RAM versions. That’s not all. The phone also has a dedicated slot for microSDXC storage expansion so you do not have to give up a SIM slot. 4/6GB RAM ensures a seamless and smooth transition while 128 GB storage avails you enough storage to have all your favorite files at hand’s reach.
48MP AI quad camera
Xiaomi Redmi 10X has five cameras. Four on the back and a front-facing selfie camera lens within a DotDisplay. The main camera of Redmi 10X is a 48 MP, f/1.8, 26mm (wide), 1/2.0″, 0.8µm, PDAF. The other three are an 8 MP, f/2.2, 13mm (ultra-wide), 1/4.0″, 1.12µm, 2 MP, f/2.4, (macro), 1.12µm and a 2 MP, f/2.4, (depth). The camera module has a fresh look and twists to it as you can see in the picture below. The key highlights of Redmi 10X 4G’s camera are as follows. Night mode for sharper photos with exquisite detail and support for 4K and video pro mode.
Facing you will always be the 13 MP ultra-wide-angle selfie camera within a bigger world (the phone’s large display that is). If you are familiar with Samsung Galaxy A71 you might as well tell where the inspiration was borrowed. Nevertheless, this selfie provides an almost 1.3 times wider view and increases the field of vision from 79° to 118°. Redmi Note 9S has a 5MP camera lens, unlike Redmi 10X 4G which has a 2MP macro camera.
Xiaomi Redmi 10X display
The display of any phone is a vital part of it if you ask anybody. It is no wonder smartphone companies are ever trying fresh ideas on displays of phones. From curved displays to hole punches, to high refresh rates you name it. Anyway, none of this has anything to do with the display of these phones. Redmi 10X 4G as a normal 1080 x 2340 pixels, 6.53 inches IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen. The same has Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection, supports 16M colors, and can brighten up to 450 nits type. brightness as advertised. It is a decent 1080p display we must say and that DotDisplay hole-punch adds an interesting touch to it.
Xiaomi Redmi 10X 4G fits a large 5,020 mAh battery. It supports 18W fast charge and comes equipped with a 22.5W fast charger in the box. You are also getting a Reverse charging 9W capable smartphone and Quick Charge 3.0. This is a battery capacity meant to last the whole day(s) of usage with ease, even when gaming let alone regular day to day usage.
