Oppo Reno 3 Price in Kenya

Oppo Reno 3 price in Kenya is around 37,500 shillings. It is built around a Quad 48 MP primary camera and 44 MP selfie. Here are some of its features in Kenya – Android 10.0; ColorOS 7, 6.4 inches AMOLED panel, 128 GB 8GB RAM and 4025 mAh battery with VOOC 3.0. It was announced on 2020, March 17. Here is our highlight review of Oppo Reno 3.

Clear in Every Shot

Every smartphone ever is made for a particular purpose to appeal to a particular demographic. And Oppo Reno 3 is no exception. We are looking at a camera centric smartphone here. That is to say, a phone which’s main focus (in the higher sense of this word) is its camera. This will be more clear when you consider Oppo Reno 3 comes with a 48 MP wide main camera lens.

One interesting fact about it is that it is capable of shouting 108 MP Images optimized from usage scenarios especially in bright light. You might want to follow this link to learn more about this feature. What you also see on that back panel is its 8 MP ultra-wide lens, a 13MP telephoto and its 2MP Macro lens. At Phoneplace Kenya we are fans of its macro lens which captures the subtle and tiniest details.

Will you also make use of 5x Hybrid Zoom and 20x Digital Zoom? These two features are very present on .  Yes, the cameras of Oppo Reno 3 combine to achieve full focal length shooting regardless of your distance from the subject. By the way, that wide camera lens can capture 109-degree photos. Oppo adds ”after accounting for distortion.” Then there was Ultra Dark Mode. A powerful feature that creates an extraordinary night scene.

What your eyes will not see in the pitch dark this phone will very easily, and clearly bring out. Of course you will have to trigger in on when you want to make use of it. About video recording it is 4K at 2160p@30fps, 1080p@30/60fps; gyro-EIS with the main camera. With it comes the new dual image stabilization function delivered by Ultra Steady Video 2.0.

Refined Selfie Images

Lately selfie images looks the same even with different phones. But Oppo wan’t about to jump on this bandwagon with Reno 3, no not at all. Why do I say, “Refined Selfie Images?” First is because that 44 MP wide selfie camera is one of a kind. Take the number 44 for example. Ever seen a selfie camera with 44MP on any other brand but OPPO? Again I say, it is one of a kind. The kind that captures facial detail in ultra-high resolution.

The other feature handy with nightlife people is the Ultra Night Selfie Mode. Yes this mode is also present with the front facing lens and it works in like manner as described in the previous section. Namely, what your eyes will not see in the pitch dark this phone will very easily, and clearly bring out. Video recording with it is 1080p@30fps

Sleek Design

When you buy this phone, you are also getting yourself a fashion statement. Okay fashion may be a higher word but my meaning is that Oppo Reno 3 is a sleek and beautiful looking phone. At just 7.9 it is quite a slim phone. Strange how the company managed to fit in a massive 4025 mAh battery here and still have the phone weigh 170 grams.

Holding Oppo Reno 3 feels like a completely new experience. Its two color options Midnight Black and Aurora Blue are inspired by embodying a variety of moods and lights. Oh yes and it is also available in Sky White. This phone’s back panel has been left clean with only Oppo branding and the Camera setup. We talk about the front next.

Immense display and entertainment

You get an AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with Oppo Reno 3’s 6.4 inches, 98.9 cm2 display panel. It has got quite a high resolution count fitted within this estate at 1080 x 2400 pixels, a high ~411 ppi density and a whopping 90.8% screen-to-body ratio. But unlike Oppo Find X2‘s billion colors it supports 16M colors.

For those who watch Netflix, Oppo Reno 3 supports 1080p streaming. This will enable you to enjoy streaming your favorite TV Series in HD. The fingerprint scanner has also been moved to this phone’s display. Oppo Reno 3 utilized an optical under the display fingerprint reader optimized to improve security. It unlocks the phone in less than 0.35 seconds.

Enhanced Performance

Oppo chose to go with a Mediatek MT6779 Helio P90 (12 nm) chipset clocked at 2.2 GHz | 2.0 GHz. And under the hood is a PowerVR GM9446 GPU. Here is the best part. You are buying a phone with 128 GB internal storage and (wait for it) 8GB of RAM. This internal storage is of UFS 2.1 infrastructure and can be expanded, if need be using a microSDXC (uses shared SIM slot).

Now the Operating System here is Android 10.0 with Oppo’s ColorOS 7. ColorOS 7 brings you features such as Artist Wallpaper, Dark Mode, instant click and share among others. It surely is quite a major improvement from previous ColorOS versions.

To add on the performance of Oppo Reno 3 is Hi-Res Audio & Dolby Atmos. With these two on board this phone is an audio powerhouse that delivers immersive media. These two combined with the viewing experience equals bliss.

Battery

Finally this review would not be complete if we did not talk about the battery performance of Oppo Reno 3. It comes with a beefy non-removable Li-Po 4025 mAh battery. With this battery you can be sure your anxieties will be cast down. And to add on to it is VOOC 3.0 fast battery charging present for Oppo Reno 3 which will charge it to 50% in just 30 minutes and to 100% in 73 minutes
