When you open the package up, you’re greeted with the Infinix Hot 10T smartphone. Take out the sticker on the front and on the back. Whichever color version you will have bought just know this phone also comes in Black, Purple, Morandi Green, and Heart of Ocean. You will see an envelope that houses the SIM ejector, the warranty card, and a bunch of leaflets.
You also get a film screen protector, which you should probably not rely on, and a hard plastic case, which is just like the one on the Infinix Hot 9 Play that is also available on our website for the best price in Kenya. We think you have to invest in a case and a glass screen protector as soon as possible since these are but bare minimums. On the bottom compartment of the box is a standard 10 Watts charger, a micro USB cable, and a pair of earphones.
Design and display
You have a 6.8 inch HD plus IPS LCD display with 90 Hertz refresh rates. On the top of that display, you have a drop notch, the houses, and an 8-megapixel selfie camera with dual flash. The back, a 48-megapixel triple camera setup with quad flash. You also see a fingerprint sensor and some Infinix branding. On the left is a three in one tree that houses two 4G LTE cards and an SD card for storage expansion. Which on this phone is 128GB. Quite impressive yes? But more on this later on in this article.
The right-hand side has a volume rocker and power button. The top is left clean with nothing on it while the bottom has a speaker, a micro USB port, microphone, and a 3.5-millimeter headphone jack. The design would give one vibe from late 2020 aesthetics. The back and frame are made from glossy plastic. The back having an artistic prism pattern which sadly you cannot feel its texture. Would have been nice. This is a pretty big phone for the record so if you are into such, feel at home.
Now turning again to the front you get the now old school notch that we saw two Hot series ago. Bezels and chins kind of stayed the same with sort of the same issues under direct sunlight as Tecno Spark 7P. Be sure to check it out by the one. It is one excellent TECNO smartphone. The fingerprint sensor is fast enough. I’m pretty accurate. Oh yes! Infinix Hot 10T comes with a fingerprint sensor. It is that thing on the back, that oval-circular space on the back panel.
Photos taken by the Infinix Hot 10T smartphone will clearly show you that they focus mainly on the main camera than the selfie. The pixel count alone should bring this out. 48 MP, (wide), PDAF versus an 8 MP, (wide) selfie shooter. It is nice though to see a Dual-LED flash on the front which serves as a lighter in dim scenarios.
With the main camera, you will be getting sharp, detailed, crispy photos. I am tempted to say, way too detailed for what you are paying for this phone. But I will let you judge for yourself lest I sound like some salesperson. The photo qualities you get her sort of reminds you of Infiix Zero 8‘s camera, which is way more expensive. With portrait mode, the depth-sensing is just too good for the HOT series. I suspect INFINIX used the same lens that is on the Zero 8 smartphone.
128GB comes with 64/128 gigs of storage and 4 gigs of RAM. What we’re looking at here is a smartphone running on Android 11, with an XOS 7.6 theme on top of it. A new feature that might interest you is that “privacy screen”, which blocks a lot of the display so no one else really gets the full picture of what you’re doing or reading. On the downside (personal thoughts) XOS 7.6 pushes bloatware and forces lots of ads. You can always install another launcher to solve this issue should you find it irritating. Else you will have to deal with it since it cannot be turned off. This really is not a deal-breaker though!
Infinix Hot 10T uses the Mediatek Helio G70 (12 nm), Octa-core (2×2.0 GHz Cortex-A75 & 6×1.7 GHz Cortex-A55) CPU which is the same as the gaming mid-range CPU that is under Infinix Hot 10 from 2020, October 17. This one was released 2021, May 04. This is the case yet the Hot 10T is faster in close to all tasks and the scrolling is a whole other thing because of the 90 Hertz refresh rate and more RAM! There’s also another option to make the swipe speed and motion speed faster.
The Infinix Hot 10T is powered by a 5,000 mAh battery. It is slightly smaller than the 5,200 mAh battery on the Hot 10. You might feel that the battery doesn’t last as long because of that, but it is actually because of the optional 90 Hertz refresh rate. It is easy, a fulL day battery life for the average users. The only downside might be that it takes a little over three hours to charge from zero to one hundred percent. Consider buying a fast charger on our website? Or should I say, a faster charger? Although it might not serve as effectively since this phone does not support fast charging.
