90Hz refresh rate provides smoother scrolling and everyday navigation.
50MP main camera with OIS provides better image stability for handheld photography.
5,000mAh battery with 25W charging supports dependable daily use.
IP64 protection provides resistance against dust and water splashes.
Six major Android OS upgrades provide longer software support.
microSD support enables memory expansion.

Cons

Only 4GB RAM limits heavy multitasking and demanding applications.
4G connectivity means there is no 5G support.
No 3.5mm headphone jack requires USB-C or wireless audio accessories.
90Hz refresh rate is smooth, but not as high as the 120Hz panels increasingly common in this segment.

Verdict

The Samsung Galaxy A18 4G is a practical mid-range smartphone built around a strong display, dependable battery life, and capable everyday photography. Its 6.7-inch Super AMOLED panel, 90Hz refresh rate, and 50MP OIS main camera offer real advantages for media and everyday photography, while the 5,000mAh battery and 25W charging support reliable all-day use. The 4GB RAM configuration limits its appeal for heavy multitasking, and the lack of 5G keeps it firmly in the 4G segment. At around KES 20,500, it suits users who prioritize display quality, battery endurance, and Samsung’s software support over maximum performance or next-generation connectivity.
