1-Year Extended Warranty for Smartphones

This Extended Warranty is offered exclusively for smartphones with no local warranty or refurbished smartphones purchased from Phoneplace Kenya. The warranty is valid for one (1) year from the date of purchase and provides coverage as outlined below, subject to the terms and conditions.

Extended Warranty Coverage

The Phoneplace Care Extended Warranty covers the following for eligible smartphones:

  • One-Time Screen Replacement: A single screen replacement within the 1-year warranty period, provided the damage is not due to excluded causes (see below).
  • Accidental Damage Repair: Repairs for accidental damage, excluding liquid, water, or moisture-related damage.
  • Hardware and Software Malfunctions: Repairs for defects or malfunctions in hardware or software, provided the issue is not caused by unauthorized modifications or excluded causes.

What Is Not Covered

The Extended Warranty does not cover the following:

  • Damage caused by power surges or electrical issues.
  • Damage caused by liquid, water, or moisture.
  • Damage resulting from unauthorized repairs or modifications to the smartphone.
  • Any damage or malfunction not explicitly listed under the coverage section.
  • Cosmetic damage (e.g., scratches, dents) that does not affect the functionality of the device.
  • Loss, theft, or intentional damage to the smartphone.

Terms and Conditions

  1. Warranty Period: The Extended Warranty is valid for one (1) year from the date of purchase of the smartphone. The repair or replacement of a product under this warranty does not extend or renew the warranty period.
  2. Eligibility: This warranty applies only to smartphones with no local warranty or refurbished smartphones purchased from Phoneplace Kenya. Proof of purchase (e.g., receipt) is required to claim warranty services.
  3. Claim Process: To file a warranty claim, contact Phoneplace Care through our official channels (website, customer service hotline, or authorized service centers) with your proof of purchase and a description of the issue. The device will be inspected to verify eligibility for repair or replacement.
  4. Service Limitations: Repairs or replacements are subject to the availability of parts and service capabilities at Phoneplace Care’s authorized service centers. If a replacement is provided, it may be a refurbished unit of similar specifications or a new replacement.
  5. Non-Transferable: The Extended Warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser of the smartphone.
  6. Exclusions: Phoneplace Care reserves the right to deny warranty claims if the damage or malfunction falls under the exclusions listed above or if the device has been tampered with or misused.
  7. Liability: Phoneplace Care’s liability is limited to the repair or replacement of the covered smartphone and does not extend to incidental or consequential damages, including data loss or inability to use the device.
