Xiaomi Mi 9T 64GB Price in Kenya

It will cost you around 32,500 Kenya shillings to buy Xiaomi Mi 9T in Kenya. Mi 9T is equipped with 6 GB RAM, Triple 48 MP main camera, 4000 mAh battery and a Qualcomm SDM730 Snapdragon 730 (8 nm) chipset.

The tag ‘flagship killer’ now belongs to Xiaomi as opposed to the original tag holder OnePlus. OnePlus smartphones are venturing to flagship smartphones now, but Xiaomi is holding it down. This one, the Mi 9T will be a perfect example to use in sending the message. I hope it gets home. It is a June 2019 release smartphone after having been announced in that very month. Another thing about Xiaomi is the confidence they have with their smartphones- they rarely delay the hyper. Below is a list of the main features of Mi 9T. Design and build

Here is a phone with a front and glass back panel(s) and with aluminum frame. A phone weight about 191 grams and with edge to edge display, thanks to that motorized selfie camera. It pops up when prompted and retreats to position after use. Questions about durability arise of course but Xiaomi promises up to 300,000 pop ups until slight sign of wear and maybe tear.

So a glass back panel. Our wish was that there would be support for wireless charging because of it. There you will see the main camera lens on top of a dual camera setup. It has a colored chamfer mostly red around it. Oh, and by the way, that selfie pop up camera also has an LED light that dazzles around it when the lens shoots up. The back panel is curved to allow comfort in the hand and also to add to looks and general design language. Some of the overlooked features like USB type C and NFC have been included here.

Display

What’s there to explain about this display? Let’s see. It is a 6.39 inches AMOLED capacitive touchscreen. Yes, a great estate for your daily interactions. It has a 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution, 19.5:9 aspect ratio and ~403 ppi density- neat. Corning Gorilla Glass 5 allows for is durability. It is an impressive display panel to be honest. It has great viewing angles and decent outdoor visibility. This aside what I can certainly tell is how best you will love using this phone because if its edge to edge display feature. That is, there is no notch to distract your view and the bezels have almost been entirely done away with here.

Camera

Shift your attention to the cameras and this is what you will find out. Primary camera(s) are three. A whooping 48 MP f/1.8 wide lens with an 8 MP f/2.4 telephoto other with 2x optical zoom. Then finally, a 13 MP f/2.4, 12mm ultrawide camera is also on board. Video recording on the main camera is 4K 2160p@30fps, 1080p@30/120/240fps, 1080p@960fps. You will be impressed with the quality of images these cameras produce. And so is the case for the selfie camera which is a motorized pop-up 20 MP shooter as already mentioned. With it you can shoot neat 1080p@30fps videos.

Performance

MIUI 10 skin on top of Android 9.0 (Pie) is clean touch.  Xiaomi Mi 9T is powered by Qualcomm SDM730 Snapdragon 730 (8 nm) chipset, an Octa-core (2×2.2 GHz Kryo 470 Gold & 6×1.8 GHz Kryo 470 Silver) and an Adreno 618 GPU. Snapdragon 730 is the most powerful of chipsets a mid-range can have- this phone is a power horse.

Here is more icing on the cake, the memory, 6 GB RAM of RAM with  64 GB of internal storage. Unfortunately. there is no room for external expansion of storage.  Alright a non-removable Li-Po 4000 mAh battery has been sealed within the back panel of Xiaomi Mi 9T. What a capacity. And with the provided charger you will have access to fast battery charging 18W. Such thoughtfulness.

Verdict

Xiaomi Mi 9T is a powerful mid-range smartphone, truly it is. If you are a power user on a budget, consider this one. If you are not- consider this the best bargain you will ever get. You should take it.
