Lenovo K8 Note
So this year (2017) Lenovo added to its K line three smartphones. The Lenovo K8, Lenovo K8 Plus and the Lenovo K8 Note. This review and article is about the Lenovo K8 Note, which is the giant smartphone of the three. It was released in August 2017 by Lenovo. This is one smartphone I have really wanted to do a full review of. And below are my thoughts and opinion about the Lenovo K8 Note. This article is a purchase reference for persons looking to buy a phone and have no idea what to look out for, or just that person looking to know what this smartphone has to offer. Below is a list of its main features before we do an id depth analysis of the subject smartphone.
5.5 inches display panel
Dual 13MP +5MP camera(s) with flash
13MP front facing camera with flash
Mediatek chipset – Helio X23
Deca- core chipset 2.3 GHz
Mali GPU
Android Nougat 7.1.1
4000mAh sealed battery with fast charging
32GB + 3GB RAM or 64GB + 4GB RAM
Network: Dual SIM (nano) GSM, HSPA and LTE
So it is the most powerful of the three 2017 K line smartphones. Let us now take a look at its features in detail.
Design and build
So all the K line smartphone have the same design and build as well. We see the same design on the K8 Note as on the K8 Plus. The only difference is on color maybe, dimensions and weight. It is an all metal build smartphone with a nice cold touch feeling when held in the hands. It fits well in one hand just like the compact K8 Plus. The Lenovo K8 Note measures 154 x 75 x 8.5 mm. It is 8.5 mm thick to allow room to pack its big 4000mAh battery. Its build sees it measure about 180 grams. It has that typical Lenovo look the K8 Note. Facing you is its its 5.5 inches display panel, the selfie camera, flash, sensors and call speaker (top bezel) while the bottom bezel houses three touch keys for the back, home and recent apps functions. On the back of it is a dual camera setup (vertically placed) with the LED flash placed right beside it and the rear mounted fingerprint scanner below the primary camera. The power and volume rocker are on different sides of this phone. Its looks are as good and its build very solid I have to say.
Display and camera
It has 5.5 inches display panel. An IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen it is with a 1080 x 1920 pixels ( 401 ppi pixel density) resolution, 71% screen to body ration, support for 16M colors and multi touch and has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.  It is a good display with great sharpness, good sunlight readability and vibrant display overall
Camera
Its primary camera is a Dual 13MP + 5MP with phase detection autofocus and dual LED flash. Some of the features on deck include geo tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR and panorama modes. The selfie camera on the other is an 8 MP shooter with an LED flash. Camera performance is top notch on the Lenovo K8 Note. It is one of the best cameras on smartphones of its range, if not the best.
Video recording has also been made possible here and it kicks in at 1080p@30fps.
Performance and memory
Platform
Lenovo K8 Note is a Mediatek smartphone. That means it runs a Mediatek chipset, or vice versa- a Mediatek chipset runs it. The race that wins. Yes, so it has a Mediatek Helio X23 chipset, a Deca core 2.3 GHz CPU and a Mali T880 MP4 GPU to ensure its graphics performance. It is a good thin seeing it run on the latest Android software update, that is Nougat 7.1.1.
Memory
You get to choose between a 32GB + 3GB RAM version and a 64G + 4GB RAM version of the Lenovo K8 Note. Whichever you go for, the internal memory can be expanded using an SD card up to 256 GB.  I love that Lenovo included decent RAM counts for both versions of this smartphone. It runs tasks smoothly and with ease. You will best enjoy watching videos if you do on it, playing games and multitasking functions thanks to the performance stats of the Lenovo K8 Note.
Battery
It has a sealed or non-removable 4000mAh battery and supports fast battery charging which Lenovo calls Turbo Charge. It is a decent capacity that should last a whole day of mixed usage.
This is among the best smartphones in the market today (2017). The Lenovo K8 Note has great platform performance, good battery life and super impressive cameras. It comes with the choice of two colors, fine gold and venom black.

Be creative with the Lenovo K8 Note dual rear cameras; select ‘depth mode’ and watch your images transform with a DSLR-like depth-of-field effect. One camera has a 13 MegaPixel PureCel Plus sensor, bringing in high-end imaging capabilities. The other has a 5 MegaPixel sensor, which simultaneously captures depth information. This means you can view real-time bokeh with up to F/1.2.

Turbo Charging

With the K8 Note’s included 15W fast charger, you can charge its 4000mAh batter
