Unboxing

When you open up the box of Infinix Note 10, you’re greeted with the smartphone which comes in Black, Purple, and Emerald Green. There is a warranty card, an envelope with the SIM ejector, a film screen protector, and a transparent TPU case. In the bottom compartment, you will get an 18-watt fast charger with a lemon accent. The USC B-C cable has an orange accent which is sort of weird if you have obsessive-compulsiveness like me. Lemon and orange, why? Anyway, you also get a pair of earphones.

Design and build

On the front panel of Infinix Note 10, which is its display you get a 6.95 inch Full HD Plus IPS LCD display with a 20.5 by nine aspect ratio. Right at the center top is a 16-megapixel camera just below a front-firing speaker. Yes, you read that right, Infinix Note 10 comes with dual speakers. The bottom is a secondary speaker, USB type C port (which is very nice to see), a microphone, and a 3.5-millimeter headphone jack about the design.

On the back is a 48-megapixel triple camera setup with quad flash alongside Infinix branding. On the left, a three in one tray that houses two 4G nano-SIMS and an SD card slot. By the way, did you know that SD card stands for Secure Digital Card? Now you know. On the right, you have a volume rocker and a power button, which doubles up as your fingerprint scanner.

Cameras

Infinix went with the latest 2020 camera bump design which looks great let us all admit this. These cameras are pretty feature-rich. Strange though why they use the 48-megapixel lens on the Infinix Note 10 whereas the Note 8 uses a 64-megapixel lens. But does anyone still buy phones based on high pixel numbers in 2021? With the primary camera, its sharp and detailed colors look true to life. Portrait mode is now getting warmer. It’s still not perfect with depth sensing, but it is pretty okay. The selfie camera on this Note 10 phone is the kind of camera that will lead to higher return rates. Note 10 is color accurate as in true to life and very natural looking.

Display

Now, Infinix decided to pull that Samsung Infinity-O display for the panel of Infinix Note 10. Xiaomi also decided to use this hole-punch with its Redmi Note 10 series which you should definitely check out. It is becoming harder to tell these phones apart from a distance. The display has average viewing angles and sunlight’s legibility. You will definitely get a better view and experience on this Note 10 smartphone. Our only prayer and hope are that Infinix never goes back to the 720P on the Note Series ever again.

Oh yes, haven’t you heard that on board is a 1080 x 2460 pixels resolution display. Now that is cool! Infinix Note 10 has the ultra touch feature which basically mimics the 90 Hertz faster-scrolling experience. Um yeah, it is 60 Hertz – bummer! Also, your old Infinix stylus lying around will not work on this phone. Um, bummer? So just pick up any pen with a rubber tip and use that to paint or write is the next available alternative.

Performance

Infinix Note 10 uses the MediaTek Helio G85 (12nm) Octa-core (2×2.0 GHz Cortex-A75 & 6×1.8 GHz Cortex-A55). It is a gaming mid-range chipset with a few tweaks for an even better gaming experience. This is easily the best feature of this Note 10 and everything you do on this phone feels so smooth. It handles multiple apps and multitasking like a champ. Speaking of which, the fingerprint sensor on this phone is so fast that it unlocks right before you remove your finger. Seems like a security problem but be guaranteed that it is approved safe for use. It definitely is better than a pattern that can always be guessed. Face unlock is pretty fast also although it does not read your face in poor lighting conditions.

Platform

Infinix Note 10 comes with 128 gigs of storage and 6 gigs of RAM. You get about 113 gigs of available storage. It is running on Android 11 with XOS Dolphin version 7.6 on top of it as you would expect. This version is the same one on the Infinix Hot 10T and here it is also choked up in bloatware and unnecessary ads. I am tempted to add, as you would expect. But that too would be unnecessary. Some of the bloatware cannot be deleted. We suggest you arm a launcher from PlayStore. There’s this feature that we think you will love. One that lets you minimize your app into a card on the screen. You double-tap on the power button to minimize and drag around.

Battery

The Infinix Note 10 is powered by a 5,000 mAh battery. Usual battery tests give less than 10 hours of screen on time with about 15% left to spare. But not to worry, Note 10 will conveniently make it through a full day for most users. It takes about 30 minutes to charge from 0 to 65% and 2 hours and 10 minutes for a full charge with the charger that comes in the box.
